ipad sketch

I really want my own ipad equipped with all the cool apps for drawing. If I had my own, just look at how I could entertain myself and everyone else at dinner parties. As I did a night ago with a borrowed ipad from my host using his cool app called "paper". A sketch of another dinner guest in the midst of conversation.

summer takes over

Now that summer is officially taking over the landscape I am visually overwhelmed by all the green. Everything is SO Green! How do you paint all that greeness?
These pure white lilies surprisingly grew for me in my own garden (I am surprised because it is hot and dry now and I am a negligent gardener). I have been drawing them and enjoying the purity of white but I can't get all that green out of my eyes.

hurrah for the last

The last hurrah of the live peonies and irises of this season. We have hot weather now and I will not be able to draw these lovelies alive and blooming.  This will hang in my July 2012 Glen Ellyn show.

Glen Ellyn Public Library Event coming up!

I will have an exhibit space for my work during the month of July at the Glen Ellyn Library. If you happen to stop by, it will be in a gallery space on the top right hand side of the second floor.
I am busily framing a quantity of 16"x20" watercolors. Many of these are very recent, I have just painted them this spring.
